Cheryl is the director of CDM Dance & Music. This innovative choreographer and passionate dance teacher holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Drama and French from the University of Toronto. With 20 years of teaching experience, Cheryl holds registered teacher and associate status of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), and has performed the Solo Seal Award exam. She was mentored by RAD Dual Examiner Cynthia Fisher.

Cheryl has a keen eye for technical detail and a soft spot for the gift of performance in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary and Acro. She was also a national-level gymnast herself with NCCP coaching accreditation. Cheryl is a graduate of The Ailey SchoolTM in New York City where she trained intensively in Horton, Graham and Dunham Contemporary techniques, Jazz and Ballet. She has worked with world-renowned choreographers such as Talley Beatty, Elisa Monte and Judith Marcuse, and has performed at Harlem’s famous Apollo Theatre.

Cheryl danced professionally, touring the Netherlands and Belgium with Koninklijk Theatre Carré show Marco Tempest Magic for the Next Millennium. She has also been recognized and awarded for her innovative choreography by nationally recognized adjudication affiliations, and is a proud member of the PAA (Professional Adjudication Association).

In addition to the arts, Cheryl has also turned her passion to the film industry as an established stunt performer. She was a stunt double and assistant choreographer on the feature film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and was the movement coordinator on Vincenzo Natale’s Splice, starring Adrian Brody and Sarah Polley. She was also the lead stunt double for actors Tia Carrere in Relic Hunter and Vivica A. Fox in Missing. Other TV and film credits include The Love Guru, The Day After Tomorrow, Resident Evil Apocalypse,Total Recall (2012), Repomen and Repo! The Genetic Opera.
