Conservatory & Dance and Music offers group lessons at our studio at 5915 Leslie street in North York to growing and learning musicians across North York and Toronto. These lessons are offered once a week over the course of an eight-week program. Ask about guitar, ukulele, violin, choir, band and multi-instrument classes for kids in group format. Students learn to perform and work together as part of a group under the experienced tutelage of a group instructor. These courses are offered at discounted rates compared to private lessons, making them a great way to try out music in a supportive environment where it’s easy to make new friends and learn.
These lessons help students develop the skills of listening to others and performing in groups, and students will perform at recitals.
The Conservatory of Dance & Music offers affordable group choir lessons for students on Monday and Tuesdays. Students in these groups will learn to improve their singing ability in many ways, including improving vocal tone and confidence, sense of rhythm and time, ability to read music, and in other ways.

The Conservatory of Dance and Music also offers affordable group instrumental lessons for students on Saturday afternoons. Students in these groups will be able to try playing different instruments in a group, such as the ukulele, guitar, bass, keyboard, and others. They’ll learn easy songs as a group and develop the ability to listen to each other and to learn from each other. They’ll develop basic skills such as understanding of chords, rhythms, and listening to the group. At the end of the eight-week program, the group will perform a recital together to show their development and skill, much like the choir. Long term members can expect to develop skills that will be useful in pop, rock, and jazz styles.
Sessions are welcome to people who are total beginners at instruments, and to people who want to try new instruments in a group settings.
