
Emily Gillingham
Emily is a graduate of Canada’s National Ballet School’s Teacher Training Program who holds her Registered Teacher Status with the Royal Academy of Dance and Associate Level ISTD National Dance Teaching Qualifications. She has developed a wide range of skills and a strong educational background through Canada’s National Ballet School with extensive training in ballet technique, RAD and Cecchetti ballet, Character, National dance, conditioning, anatomy, music, Benesh Movement Notation, and dance history.
Prior to her studies at Canada’s National Ballet School, she completed the Professional Dance Program at George Brown College. Emily has also acquired her Teaching Certifications in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) and Dancing with Parkinson’s and Barreworks. Emily continues to develop her education as a dance teacher by attending various workshops and teacher courses. Furthermore, Emily is a Mentor through the Royal Academy of Dance and has found a sense of joy and pride while assisting teachers-in-training.
Emily has been teaching students from Pre-Primary to Advanced classes and has introduced RAD Examinations to many students and families. Emily’s passion for dance continues to grow and it is her desire to pass that passion on to her students. As a highly dedicated teacher with a focus on proper technique, Emily brings the joy of dance to her students of all ages and abilities. She is passionate about extending her knowledge to the next generation of dancers at CDM.
