Jaclyn Wong

Dance Teacher

Jaclyn Wong is a CDM graduate and alumna who has been inspired by her experience at CDM to pay it forward to the next generation of young dancers. Starting her dance journey at age 3, Jaclyn trained at a competitive level for 12 years in the genres of RAD ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. Along with her studio training, Jaclyn is a graduate of the Claude Watson Dance Program at Earl Haig Secondary School. During her 4 years in the program, she expanded her dance knowledge gaining additional training in the Limon and Graham techniques of modern dance, and the Cecchetti and Vagonova styles of ballet. Jaclyn is currently a full-time student at Toronto Metropolitan University receiving her Bachelor of Technology from the program Graphic Communications Management. She is continuing her dance training at a competitive level as a member of the university's Varsity Dance Team, TMU DancePak. In 2024, she plans to complete her RAD Advanced 2 Exam at CDM as her final ballet certificate. Jaclyn’s ultimate goal as a dance instructor is to inspire confidence, collaboration and determination in her students. She hopes to give young dancers a positive and encouraging creative outlet to discover a healthy relationship with dance and to reach their full potential.
